The new Nikon D800 first impression second post,

We took a little trip to the San Antonio Mexican market for a day of taking pictures with the new D800 to see what it could do. This was display of collorfull selection of toy guitars, check out the detail in the 100% crop at the bottom.

This was handheld at 1/100 sec f / 8.0, ISO 400, Nikon D800 with the Nikon 24-70 f /2.8 lens.

D800 first impression – Beer boxes

The new Nikon D800 first impression,

We took a little trip to the San Antonio Mexican market for a day of taking pictures with the new D800 to see what it could do. This was a pile of beer boxes that were sitting on a dolly out side of one of the shops, check out the detail in the 100% crop at the bottom.

This was handheld at 1/400 sec f / 8.0, ISO 400, Nikon D800 with the Nikon 24-70 f /2.8 lens.

Here is a picture of the boxes at 100% cropped, second row from top third box with the newspaper hanging out.

Palmer Events center in Austin Texas at night. We were wondering around town lake on a cold friday evening and decided to get the crazy wide, nikon 14-24 f/2.8 lens, out and see what we could do. I have not shot with the crazy wide in a while and I forgot what great images it captures.
